GCSE English Literature (WJEC) – Year 10

Controlled assessments have replaced coursework. In Year 10 students will complete three assessments for English Language and one for English Literature. They will also prepare for an examination on 'Of Mice and Men' and an unseen poetry comparison.
This is an overview of the whole year. English Literature units and assessments are indicated in bold.

Half Term 1 (June - July)
  • Introduction to course.
  • Focus on how love and relationships are presented in key poems.
  • Begin studying Richard III
