A2 Mathematics (OCR – 7890)

There are three modules to A2 Mathematics, Core 3, Core 4 and Mechanics 1. Core 3 is assessed by examination in January of Year 13, Core 4 and Mechanics 1 are assessed by examinations in May/June of Year 13. Each module carries equal weighting to the overall grade at A2 level, and contribute to a total of 50% of the full A level. Generally the course is taught by two teachers, both teaching Core 3 then each teaching either Core 4 or Mechanics 1.
