KS3 Drama - Year 9
The course is designed to give all students a solid working knowledge of how to create and perform drama. It will cover vocal and movement skills to help the students become better actors. It also focuses on how to make theatre from a stimulus or a script, and how to evaluate performances from the point of view of both actor and audience.

It is recommended that students watch as much live theatre as possible during the course and participate in performances. This will give a real insight into how drama is made and performed, and will inspire and inform the work that they do in class. Many performances take place at QEHS throughout the year, and there are many local theatres in Hexham and Newcastle where good quality theatre can be seen. (Queen’s Hall in Hexham, Live Theatre, Theatre Royal, Northern Stage, People’s Theatre, etc, all Newcastle)
