Winter Clothing Collection for West End Refugee Service (WERS) until 24 November 2017.

The Human Rights Group are collecting earlier this year in order to provide destitute refugees with warm clothing as the weather turns, rather than wait until Christmas, as in the past.

If you have any warm clothes and shoes that are in good condition and are clean, please could you tie them securely in a plastic bag and give them to your daughter or son to place in the marked boxes in the foyer.

We would like to say a big thank you for all the help and support that QEHS students, parents/carers and staff have shown when raising donations for West Northumberland Food Bank. To say that we had beaten last year's donations would not do justice to immense effort from all involved as we took 6 (six!) vehicles to the Food Bank before October half term.

QEHS is holding a Sixth Form Open Evening for entry in September 2018 on Tuesday 14 November 2017, 4.45 – 7.30pm (attendance at the whole event is advised).

This event is for Year 11 QEHS students and parents/carers and for those thinking of joining us in the Sixth Form from another school.

Potential new students and parents/carers should contact Joanne Smeatom at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for a programme for the evening.

Queen Elizabeth High School is one of the top Sixth Forms in the North of England and outperforms almost all independent, state and voluntary aided schools in the area. Our size means that we can offer more choice to suit the needs of all students, with over 30 A Level, Level 3 vocational, and accredited enhancement courses.

Thank you to all parents/carers who attended the Year 11 Revision Evening on Tuesday 17 October 2017. For copies of the presentations and handouts given during the evening, along with all other Year 11 assessment resources, please see the Year 11 Assessment/Mock Exam Resources page.
