Queen Elizabeth High School is one of the top sixth forms in the North of England and outperforms almost all independent, state and voluntary aided schools in the area. Our size means that we can offer more choice to suit the needs of all students, with over 35 A Level and Level 3 vocational courses.

The exam timetable for November is now available - see the Exams page for more information.

On Thursday 17 September 2015 we held our Freshers' Fair for Year 12 students. This annual event showcased opportunities available to Sixth Form students for volunteering and taking part in extra-curricular activities.  There were over 20 stalls at the event with both school clubs and external organisations represented, with organisations such as Oxfam, National Citizen Service, Core Music, Cultural Care Au Pair, Josie's Dragonfly Trust, and Hexham Youth Initiative exhibiting their opportunities. The afternoon had a great atmosphere and hopefully all the QEHS clubs and organisations now have a lot more Sixth Form volunteers! We are particularly proud of the contribution that our Sixth Form students make to their wider community through volunteering.
