On Thursday 7 July 2016, Miss Elliott took four of our promising young designers from Year 11 and 13 to the Discovery Museum in Newcastle to take part in the Young Engineer, Design and Technologist Competition. The competition is held annually and gives students from schools across the region a chance to show case their design work and practical projects.

Year 11 students enjoy a day in Berlin, photographed here outside the Bundestag. It was a very early start but well worth the train journey to learn about the city's very varied and interesting history. Students have also been on a tour of Dr Oetker and they will meet the Mayor of Steinhagen at a reception at the town hall tomorrow. Thursday the group will visit the Felix Nussbaum museum in Osnabruck.

A letter has now been published by the Governing Body regarding the outcome of the consultation on the proposed conversion to a Multi-Academy Trust.

As parents/carers will be aware, we are now using Schoolcomms to send out school communications via email and text message.

In addition, Schoolcomms has the facility to enable parents/carers to make online payments via the School Gateway smartphone app or website. Parents/carers will also be able to view school meal balances and purchases, and top up school meals money at any time.

To set up online payments, you will need to use the website to complete the initial setup; click the icon above to go to the School Gateway website. If you are unable to log in, it may be because the school doesn’t have your current email and mobile phone number on record. Please contact the school and we will update the details on our system.
