- Year 11 Ball – Tuesday 1st July
Tickets will be on sale from Tuesday 6th May from the Year 11 office at morning break times only. To purchase your ticket you must have your completed consent slip and £20. You will be required to sign up for a coach when you buy your ticket, so buy it at the same time as any friends you wish to travel to St. James’ Park with.
REMINDERS
- Bag Left in Wentworth Café
A QEHS student has left a bag in the Wentworth Café, next to the Tourist Information Centre. If it is yours, please call in to see the café staff.

A mirrored memory stick was left in a computer in E13 on Friday. If you find it, please return it to Miss Blight in A0. £10 reward.

Kaplan Financial are running a free business and accounting summer school in Newcastle, between 4 -7 August. This will cover sessions on bookkeeping, CV writing, mock interviews and 'Meet the Employer'.

A QEHS student has left a bag in the Wentworth Café, next to the Tourist Information Centre. If it is yours, please call in to see the café staff.
- Corbridge Youth Club
There will be a meeting today at Corbridge Youth Hut from 4.00 – 5.00 for anyone interested in being involved in the group looking at the development of the project. Snacks will be provided.

are invited to listen to a short presentation next Tuesday 29th April. Peak Leaders are coming in to promote their ski and snowboard instructor courses in Europe, Canada, Argentina and New Zealand. Two students who have recently returned from the course will also be present to talk about their experiences. The talk will take place at 1.40 p.m. in the conference room. Please support this event and feel free to bring a sandwich with you.
- Hexham Book Festival Screen Writing Workshops - Forum Cinema, Hexham
13 – 17 year olds. All sessions are free, but booking is essential.
Monday 28th & Tuesday 29th April at 4.30 p.m.
Ever wondered how scripts are written for TV and film?
This is your chance to find out and to learn some of the tricks of the trade from North East Screen writer, Fiona Birkbeck. These hands-on sessions will talk you through the process and give you a chance to plan your own script. Each session will last two hours. The final session will include a chance to meet Michael Chaplin whose screen writing credits include the ITV film ‘Foyle’s War’ and the hit series ‘Monarch of the Glen’.
Places are limited and booking essential.

- Health Project
If you are attending the Health Project please remember to get a slip saying that you have been there. This will give details of the date/time/etc. You need to be aware that if you don’t have a slip, then your absence from lessons will be followed up in the usual way. Slips should be shown to the year office (mentor/LGC) or if you arrive midway through/late to a lesson to the subject teacher and then to year staff.
