Vcashpoint are giving away grants of up to £2,500, for community projects inspired by the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. To apply you must be aged 16-25 years old, and up for running the project yourself. You'll need to show how your project can benefit other people (not relatives), the environment or your community, and how it was inspired by London 2012.

Thursday 29th April: Paper 1 Section B - with Mrs. O'Brien in A5 from 1.35-2.15pm
Wednesday 5th May: Paper 2 Section A - with Mr Scaife in B4 from 3.20-4.10pm
Thursday 13th May: Paper 2 Section B - with Mr. Appleton in A5 from 1.35-2.15pm

Young Reviewers
The Hexham Courant has sent a reminder about their Young Reviewers scheme. You can review any arts event – films, books, music gigs & CDs, shows and exhibitions, and you may see your name in print! Contact Janice Graham (E4 Hydro) for further information – free tickets available for some venues.

Important meeting today at 3.30-4.30 in A24.

Keep on collecting plastic bottles – There is a blue bin in the Foyer. Two litre bottles only please to help us build a bottle greenhouse!

Apprenticeship Schemes
Apprentice Fire Engineer with Chubb Security - You will need to be confident, well presented with plenty of initiative, have a team focused approach and great communication skills. Must have at least five GCSEs, or equivalent, at grade C or above including Maths, English and a science or technology subject. Full details and application at www.security.careers.chubb.co.uk

Newcastle City Council has opened their Apprentice/Trainee Recruitment for Summer 2010. The Environment and Regeneration Training Team will be advertising apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities from Monday 12th April 2010. Occupational areas include:
Plumbers – Commercial, Plumbers - Domestic Gas, Electricians, Highways Road Workers, Vehicle Mechanics, Childcare, Poolside Leisure Attendants, Administration, Horticulture.
