NEW NOTICES
- Health Project
Next week’s Health Project, Thursday 22nd May, will be a limited session, the nurses will be available 12.30 - 2pm. The Health Project is open today as usual from 12.30 - 2pm. Christine from Sorted will be available for people to drop in and speak with during their lunch break. If you would like any further information contact Catherine Coats in the Youth Office - D20.
- C2C Bike Ride
There is a meeting on Friday breaktime in A11 about this ride at the end of the summer term. If you can’t attend, please see Mrs Gill.
- Schools’ Triathlon Competition
Year 9 and 10 boys and girls needed for a sprint triathlon at Ponteland Leisure Centre on Thursday 21st May – 12.30 start. Please see Mr Main a.s.a.p. if you are interested.
- Years 9, 10 and 11 - District Athletics Championship, Monday 19th May
If you would like to represent the school at this event, please can you see the P.E. department a.s.a.p.
REMINDERS
- Year 11 Students
The LRC will be open on a Wednesday night during study leave for revision. Refreshments will be provided! (3.30pm - 5.30pm). Mr Hedley
- ICT Equipment
Would all students please note that they should not take it upon themselves to move ICT equipment. i.e. if there is a mouse not working, use a different machine and tell your teacher so that they can report it to the technician.
- Anaphylaxis Campaign - Youth/Parent Workshop Durham
An interactive workshop for 20 young people (aged between 11 and 18 yrs) with severe food allergy, plus a workshop for their parents, guardians or carers. Saturday 24th May 2008 10.30am – 4.30pm. Venue in Durham to be confirmed. The workshop is free, although donations are always gratefully received. The Campaign relies on charitable trusts, foundations and individuals to fund these workshops. The aim is to help both parents and their allergic children, who are growing in independence, assess and manage the risks associated with living with food allergy. Preparing for “letting go” and handing over responsibility to the allergic youngster. The opportunity to meet others in a similar situation.
Throughout the informal day there will be much discussion, sharing of experiences and a refresher on EpiPen and Anapen use. For more information or to book places please go to the “events” page of our website www.anaphylaxis.org.uk. E-mail: Gill Elliott at

All tickets should be purchased before the Year 11 leaving date of Friday 16th May. If this is a problem, please inform the Year 11 office.
Tickets are on sale from the Year 11 office at morning break times only. To purchase your ticket you must have your completed consent slip and £20. You will be required to sign up for a coach when you buy your ticket, so buy it at the same time as any friends you wish to travel to St. James’ Park with.
- Tesco Vouchers
The LRC is still collecting “Computers for Schools” Tesco vouchers. Do you have any vouchers that you have not yet handed in? If so, please bring them to the LRC where they will be gratefully received.
