REMINDERS:

• SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING. There will be a School Council meeting on Wednesday 1^st October i.e. the day you return to school after the holidays – at 3.30 p.m.. This is a really important PLEASE remember it – put the date in your planner now! It will take place in the Conference Centre and will last about an hour. Thanks. Mrs Harris.

• The Fair Trade Group is providing a whole day of fair-trade refreshments, including: coffee, tea, chocolate, cakes and much more! Please come along/bring your classes along and support us today in the Winter Gardens. As QEHS has recently gained ‘Fair Trade Status’ we hope to kick-start the year with a successful event and raise as much money as possible.



• COMPUTER VOUCHERS. Emma Farrow and Stuart Bell (both Year 10) went to H.M.S. on Friday 13^th October to collect the equipment provided by the Tesco’s “Computers for Schools” programme. You collected over 12,000 vouchers which has meant we have three extra digital cameras and some software for MFL. The cameras will be used across the school – watch out for them!

SIXTH FORM

• Rainbow Pets in Hexham are looking for someone to work in the shop on Saturdays and also to provide holiday cover. See Mrs. Cosgrove in the sixth form office if you are interested.
