  • Forum Cinema
    The Forum Cinema is celebrating the release of 'The Golden Compass' by giving away prizes donated by local businesses. Anyone who books for this film between now and 10 December will be entered into the prize draw. Prizes include meals for two, books, vouchers and cinema memorabilia. Book on 601144.

REMINDERS

  • Movie Madness
    Calling all students between 15-18 who are interested in film making.
    Northern Stars Young Persons’ Film Academy is looking for interested students to join them to make films. It gives students the chance to write and make their own movies. The training happens at weekends and includes a residential film camp.   • Youth Theatre Make-up
    Any students wishing to help with make-up for the Youth Theatre performance of Odysseus next week should come to a meeting with Miss Macdonald this Thursday break time. Anyone interested will need to be free this Sunday morning for the dress rehearsal and Tuesday to Saturday evenings for the performances.
  • Youth Theatre – Front of House
    If you would like to help with front of house (selling programmes, selling raffle tickets and showing the audience to their seats), please see Ms Bailey in her office in the Hydro (next to the pink room) a.s.a.p. Thanks.
  • Skillforce
    Skillforce will be in school this week from Monday to Thursday, working with 40 Yr 11 students to gain Level 2 qualifications in Wider Key Skills. They will be based in the Winter Gardens.
  • Youth Theatre Christmas Show
    Tickets are now on sale for “Odysseus”, a musical tale of adventure and mystery with 14 songs and spectacular dance routines.
    Performances: 11th-15th December
    Tickets are £6, £4 concessions, and £3 school students from the Hydro office.
