- Charity Day – Fancy Dress
Yrs 9, 10 and Sixth Form fancy dress on Charity Day! Dress up for the competition to win great prizes! 50p donation and all money goes to charity. If any queries, contact Abby or Jess (PLD tutor). Spare clothes may also be required for other activities on the day.
- Winter Garden & Hydro Hall Closure
The Winter Garden and Hydro Hall will be out of bounds to students all of today and Friday morning.
- Year 13 University Trips/Picnic
If you want a place on the university trips or wish to go to the picnic, you need to book and pay for your seat in advance. Please pay the £7 to Michelle in the Sixth Form office as soon as possible.
We are now able to confirm that Leeds Met will run an individual taster day on Monday 21st July for those students interested in Music Technology or Media at their Beckett’s Park campus in Headingley, just outside Leeds City Centre. If you wish to attend this day please make sure you have signed up and paid for the Leeds University trip & Michelle in the 6th form office knows that you want to do the taster day in Music Tech or Media. The coach for Leeds is filling-up; make sure you get your name on the list quickly.
- Health Project
Today 12.30 – 2.00, this will be the last Thursday session before the summer holidays.
Throughout the summer there will be a limited Young Persons Health Drop In, where the nurses will be available, at a temporary location - the Tynedale Patient Centre East Wing at Hexham Hospital on Thursdays 12 - 2pm.
There is a poster for the temporary service outside Youth Office - D20, and if you want any further information you can contact Catherine in the Youth Office (D20).
REMINDERS
- Year 11 Work Experience Expenses
Some students have still not collected their work experience travel expenses. They must be collected before the end of term. They are now available from the Year 10 office.
- Charity Day
Want to see the likes of Mr Palmer and Ms Moore singing and dancing in the Hydro Hall on Charity Day – Tuesday 22nd July? See Mr Webster’s final farewell for only 50p! Tickets will be sold in tutorial on Wednesday 16th and on Charity Day, make sure you get yours!

T4T is a new text service which offers health signposting and health information to young people launched at the Selefest. Look out for the orange leaflets and if you would like further information call in to the youth office - D20 or ask the Health Project staff team. T4T is a text service on 07971 747747.
