Personal Advisors

Personal Advisor (Careers): Kathleen Brown

The Connexions Personal Advisor works with young people in the Connexions partnership. Personal Advisors help clients to clarify plans for their future in employment and education including further and higher education, training and apprenticeships.

The Personal Advisor identifies clients' needs and refers them to appropriate sources of help.

At Queen Elizabeth High School Personal Advisors run group sessions e.g. Year 9 Introduction to Connexions and Kudos.

The Personal Advisor liaises with training providers, teachers, parents and other agencies to ensure a complete service to clients. They also attend parents' evenings and attend Annual Reviews.

Careers Clinics

Mon (Years 9 & 10): 12.35 - 1.15
Mon/Tues (Years 11, 12 & 12): 1.35 - 2.15

The Careers Clinics offer an information service including careers and course information. They take place in the Learning Resource Centre.

Connexions Library

The Connexions Resource Centre contains up to date information about careers, occupations and opportunities for employment, training and further education. The Connexions Resource Centre also holds information on job searching: CV, applications and interviews.

There is also access to computer aided guidance packages such as Kudos and Careerscape.
